Muskoka is a trail-walker's paradise, with over 40 public trails throughout the region. Muskoka's dynamic topography offers trails to suit any skill, from an easy stroll to a rewarding hike, and any distance from 1 kilometre loops to trails up to forty kilometres one way.
Most of Muskoka's trails are all-season and many are multi-use, covering a range of activities from hiking and biking to skiing and snowshoeing. And of course, the longest multi-use trail system in the world, the Trans-Canada Trail, passes right through the heart of Muskoka with sections in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville.
In addition to the public trails, many Muskoka resorts, accommodations and attractions offer trails on their grounds, which are listed below. These trails offer a wide selection of activities including everything from horseback riding to off-roading, along with the simple unmatched excellence of a walk in the woods. Make sure you check to see if their trails are open to the public or are provided for guests only.
